Rally driver Ellya Gold was a competitor in the British Rally Championship (BRC) from 2000 to 2005 with podiums and wins in the International Formula 2000 class. Ellya is Founder of eRally and has teamed up with rally buddies Tristan Dodd & Geoff Jones to research and develop the technology to build a very powerful fully electric competition rally car.
A true techie dude, Ellya also runs an IT consultancy providing contracted IT support to the energy and education sectors. Ellya’s passion lies with rally and his vision is to compete in the BRC with the eRally car, promote the use of clean energy, drive more demand for electric vehicles and inspire and educate the future generation in science, engineering & the environment. Tristan Dodd established Performance Engine Components (PEC Ltd) in 1975. The core of the business was manufacture and supply of parts to fit engines in places they were never intended to be! A strong interest in motorsport and in particular rallying from the very early days has directed the course of the business into sales of road & competition tyres and also rally testing. Tristan has a close working association with many top teams and is also Chairman of Formula 1000 Junior Rally and runs junior rally teams.
Geoff Jones is a former Nissan & Proton works driver who runs rally preparation company; Geoff Jones Motorsport. Geoff also has a close relationship with Prodrive. Geoff Jones Motorsport continues to maintain a strong presence in a number of rally championships countrywide and provides driver tuition and test and development work. He also continues to help develop young talent within the UK and is following the Junior Rally Series with interest.
